Expedition Overview
At Tamandua Expeditions, we strive to provide you with unique opportunities to travel. We simply will not recommend a trip that we haven't experienced ourselves. Our Panama itinerary is something we are very excited about. Check out what Paul Rosolie, our Co-founder had to say about his trip to this tropical paradise.
Bucket List: Sleep in a treehouse in the jungle; CHECK

This location took ages to discover because it is so off the beaten path. Just over the border from Costa Rica it is a tropical paradise of jungle and beaches. Bocas Del Toro means 'mouths of the bull' and was recently featured on David Attenborough's Life in Color documentary for the incredible diversity of arrow frogs found in these islands. But it's not just the frogs. This place is filled with stunning life.

Meditate amongst the crashing waves.

For this trip I stayed in an incredible place built by a couple determined to keep the natural integrity of their jungle, while creating a world class place for people to explore. It's so close to the beach you fall asleep to the sound of waves. You wake up to the roar of howler monkeys. There are sloths in the palm trees. The architecture of the tree houses and other structures is simply exquisite, and built completely by the ingenuity of the couple who own them.
Walk alongside endless stunning beaches

I found it to be the most beautiful place I have ever stayed. You can walk to the beach where there are practically no people. Just miles and miles of crystal blue coastline to explore. Great restaurants. For a trip like this we would have days of rafting in the water. Long bike rides. Night walks for snakes and wildlife. And also some local cuisine, exploring, caving, and more. I came back from this trip determined to take everyone I care about to this place. It is simply adventure paradise.
